Starkey Hearing Aids

The Starkey Hearing Aid company began as a hearing aid repair service in 1967. In 1971, owner William Austin acquired Starkey Laboratories, a hearing aid mold company. Since then, Starkey has grown into an international company with 33 facilities in 18 countries, and more than 4,000 employees.

Starkey's Aspect and DaVinci hearing aid lines represent the latest in the company's hearing technologies.
Starkey Aspect

Described by Starkey as an "On-The-Ear" device, the Aspect is worn above and behind the ear. With its ultra-thin tubing, and small size, it is very difficult to notice. An open "earbud" reduces occlusion -- that "head in a barrel" feeling that hearing aid wearers sometimes get.

Starkey says that its Aspect hearing instrument "features Starkey's Precision Audion Imaging open-architecture operating system and expansion technology to reduce low-level microphone and environmental sounds. Its Adaptive Noise Management TM feature calculates the SNR in each channel and adaptively reduces channel gain when the SNR in teh listening environment is poor. Aspect also includes Feedback Management for selective, stepped feedback reduction to preserve speech audibility and its new programming cable connects directly to Hi-Pro, NOAHlink, PFS Connect and Star Connect."
Starkey DaVinci

Starkey's new DaVinci PxP power BTE combines "a patient friendly design with Starkey's new Percision eXtreme Power matrik and Precision Directional Imaging." The hearing aid also is said to provide the industry's most poweful response with an extended bandwidth of 80-4400 Hz. The aid also has improved systems for directivity levels and Starkey's Lexis System to help wearers in noisy environments.
